Good People Doing Good Things

Sundays during Lent, 9:30am in the Parlor

In Christianity we talk a lot about the “good news,” but what exactly does that mean? For the six Sundays of Lent (February 22 – March 29) at 9:30am in the Parlor, we will be exploring just that. The series is titled Good People Doing Good Things and will feature several people from the congregation each week, sharing stories of the presence of good news in their lives and how they share that good news in the ways they choose to live. This will include time for Q & A/reflection. This series is facilitated by Pastor Anita Peebles and Cherry Johnson. Below are the specific sub-topics for each week:

February 22: The good news is… so good it catches you by surprise.
March 1: The good news is… great love for God and neighbor.
March 8: The good news is… together, the impossible is possible.
March 15: The good news is… protection and care for the vulnerable.
March 22: The good news is… rooted in justice, mercy and faithfulness.
March 29: The good news is… inspiring us to act.
