This program guides you through the unfolding of the advent story, from the Annunciation, the Magnificat, the birth of Jesus and finally the announcement to the Angels and shepherds. Enjoy the radiance and intimacy of solo strings, solo voices and the sonorous sounds of the Dark Horse Consort, a trio of sackbuts (historical trombones). Works by Prætorious, Schein, Schiedt, Schütz, Rosenmüller, and more. A unique and festive holiday experience!
