Seattle Pro Musica is thrilled to welcome Nilo Alcala for their annual showcase of rising composers. Nilo is the first Philippine-born composer to be commissioned by the GRAMMY-winning Los Angeles Master Chorale, and his award-winning works are performed around the world. Pro Musica will present the world premiere of The Traveler’s Song and will be joined in concert by choirs from local schools to sing and celebrate Nilo’s work.
You’ll also hear works by Paul Mealor, Laura Jekabsone, and First Nations composer Andrew Balfour.
