Music Sunday, May 21 - Love is Love is Love is Love is Love
Gathering
Where charity and love are,
God is there. The love of Christ has gathered us together. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us revere and love the living God. And with a sincere heart may we love one another. Amen Ubi Caritas ~ Ola Gjeilo, 2007 The Sanctuary Choir Vicky Thomas, director |

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Love Beyond Death
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8.38-39 Set Me as a Seal ~ R. Clausen, 1989 The Sanctuary Choir Vicky Thomas, director |

Love in Action
Though I might prophesy in tongues both earthly and divine,
if love were not their very root I could not call them Thine. A sounding gong, a cymbal's clash is all that they would be, though mountains moved through power of faith, yet it would not be Thee. The Gift of Charity ~ J. Rutter, 2011 The Sanctuary Choir and instruments Vicky Thomas, director Jim Ginn, soloist |

Reflection: Do You Love Me?
Pastor Tim Phillips
It doesn’t matter how young or old you are. It doesn’t matter how rich or poor. It doesn’t matter how pious or how much you struggle with the whole idea of God. Each of you has this amazing power to say to someone as genuinely as you can and no matter how imperfectly it may be: “I love you.” You know that power. I hope to God you have experienced that power that can change your life and change another person’s life and can change the world. You have that power. |
