Retreats at Seattle First Baptist
“The Thing with Feathers”
Friday – Sunday, October 25-27, 2019
at Rainbow Lodge
Emily Dickinson said:
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.
For so many of us, hope is hard to come by with all that's happening in our country and in the world. That is EXACTLY why we need a retreat -- a time and place where we can just BE with one another in a beautiful setting -- to rest, to remember who we are, to make and nurture supportive friendships, and to reacquaint ourselves with the place in our souls where hope always resides.
Women of ALL AGES, please join us for the annual Women's Retreat at Rainbow Lodge October 25-27. This year's theme is "The Thing with Feathers." $175 shared room; $200 single room. Some partial scholarships available upon request. Reserve your place by completing a registration form and submitting payment via the website or at the Welcome Table or Church Office.
Following are retreats that currently are planned:
Registration opens a month beforehand
Costs average $175 for two nights and five meals
Scholarships are available on request
"Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.
This is how people care for themselves.
One day you will be good storytellers. Never forget your obligations."
